Carl I am astounded by all of this. Though I'm relatively new to the blog world (I pretty much check Alison Croggon's theatre notes daily and sometimes have the bravery to begin skipping down endlessly diverse pathways of hyperlink that and suchlike) I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this. The site is beautifully structured (I have no idea how these things are created or function) but more importantly your writing is just sublime. You perfectly captured the experience of Friday night at Queenscliff, particularly Tiersen, and that is no mean feat given the quite complex, visceral and (for me anyway) utterly unexpected impact of his set. I also agreed with every word of the other reviews, particularly re: Lior - so glad to hear someone else was as nail-bitingly infuriated by his attitude and his lack of artistry as I was!

The photos are also unexpectedly striking - no offense, I just didn't know you were a photographer. I particularly love the one of the railway at dusk.

Thank you, Carl. You are an even more talented fellow than I already thought. Please keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see more of this (and everything else) next year my friend.
